FaveCard is a digital loyalty card platform for local businesses. You create a stamp card in minutes, customers get a digital loyalty card on their phone (Apple & Google Wallet passes on a paid plan), and staff scan a QR code to award stamps. When customers collect enough stamps, they earn a reward. No app download needed for your customers.
Sign up at favecard.co (free, 2 minutes), then use the card creator to pick your colours, stamp icon, reward, and number of stamps. You get a unique QR code to display at your counter. Your card is ready to share immediately.
About 5 minutes. You choose your card design (colours, stamp icon, reward text) and you're done. No technical knowledge required, no integrations to configure, no hardware to install.
No. All you need is a smartphone (yours or your staff's) to scan customers' loyalty cards and award stamps. No terminal, no tablet, no special hardware. Just download the free FaveCard staff app.
Yes. Every new account gets premium tools until the first 30 customers are on the card, no credit card required. After the first 30 customers are on the card, you choose: a paid plan or the Free tier. Either way, your loyalty card keeps working.
Yes. The Free plan (Web Wallet) works on any smartphone with a browser, anywhere in the world. A paid plan adds Apple & Google Wallet passes, supported in most countries. The app is available in English, Polish, Spanish, and Portuguese. Paid pricing is adjusted by region (US $39/mo, EU €29/mo, PL 129 zł/mo, and lower tiers for other regions).
Your customer scans a QR code (displayed at your counter or shared via link) to get a digital loyalty card on their phone. Each time they visit, your staff scans their card to add a stamp. After collecting the required number of stamps, the customer earns their reward. On a paid plan, the card also installs into Apple or Google Wallet. Learn more in our digital stamp card guide.
It depends on how often customers typically visit. Use the Wait-Time Formula: days between visits × stamps to reward ÷ 7. If the result is over 8 weeks, completion rates collapse. Coffee shops (daily visits) can use 8-10 stamps (a 2-3 week wait). Restaurants (weekly visits) work best with 5-6 stamps. Salons (monthly visits) should use 3-5 stamps. Our 23,000-stamp study found that cards designed to complete in 2-4 weeks see 11.4% completion, while cards taking 16+ weeks see under 1%.
Yes, on every plan including Free, with no limit on how many rewards per card. Place small rewards at any stamp position (for example: 10% off at stamp 3, a free side at stamp 6, the full reward at stamp 10). This converts one long wait into several shorter ones and is the highest-leverage change for low-frequency businesses (salons, restaurants, med spas). See our completion rate study for the data behind this. Note: stamp count and reward positions are set at card creation and cannot be changed afterwards, so plan your tiered structure before you launch.
In our analysis of 159 active small business loyalty cards, completion rates ranged from 11.4% (short cards completing in 2-4 weeks) to under 1% (long cards taking 16+ weeks). Above 8% is strong for a small business; 4-8% is typical for well-designed cards; under 2% suggests the card asks customers to wait too long. The full 23,000-stamp study breaks this down by visit frequency and time-to-reward, with industry-specific recommendations.
You can update the card name, design (colours, logo, banner, stamp icons), and the reward text from your dashboard at any time. The stamp count and reward positions are set at card creation and cannot be changed afterwards. To restructure those, create a new card (customer progress on the old card does not transfer to the new one).
Yes. You can create as many loyalty cards as you like. This lets you run different promotions in parallel (e.g. a coffee card and a pastry card) and see which performs best.
When a customer collects all required stamps, their card shows the reward is ready to claim. Your staff redeems it with one tap in the app. The card then resets automatically so the customer can start collecting stamps again.
Yes. The card creator lets you choose colours and the number of stamps on every plan, including Free. A paid plan adds your logo, a banner image, and custom stamp icons. You can match your brand identity so the card feels like yours, not a generic template.
No. On the Free plan, customers get a browser-based loyalty card (the Web Wallet), no download needed. On a paid plan, the card also installs into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on their phone. Either way, customers add your card with one tap. No app store, no login, no registration. Read our comparison of wallet passes vs loyalty apps.
Two ways: (1) scan the QR code you display at your counter, or (2) tap a link you share via social media, WhatsApp, or your website. One tap and the card is on their phone, ready to collect stamps. On a paid plan, it also goes straight into Apple or Google Wallet.
Yes. The Free plan's Web Wallet works on any smartphone browser, including Android. On a paid plan, FaveCard also creates passes for both Apple Wallet (iPhone) and Google Wallet (Android). Your customers don't need to choose: the system detects their phone and serves the right experience automatically.
Yes. The Free plan's Web Wallet works on any smartphone with a browser. For the Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes on a paid plan, those wallets have been standard on smartphones for years, so virtually any phone in use today supports wallet passes.
When you send a Customer Message (a paid feature), it appears as a notification on their lock screen, similar to a text message. They can also see their stamp count on the card itself without unlocking their phone.
Customer Messages let you send a message straight to your customers' phones through the loyalty card they already have in their wallet. The message appears on their lock screen, like a text. No app download, no phone numbers needed. It's a paid feature.
No. Messages are delivered through the wallet pass itself, not via SMS. You don't need phone numbers, email addresses, or any contact details. If a customer has your loyalty card in their wallet, you can reach them.
A paid plan includes 4 campaigns per month. Each campaign reaches all customers you select (all card holders, regulars, inactive, or specific people). If you have 200 card holders, one campaign reaches all 200.
Reward-focused messages get the best response: "Double stamps this weekend!", "You're 2 away from a free coffee!", "Slow Tuesday? Bonus stamp today." Keep it short, personal, and valuable. See our guide to reaching customers between visits.
Three key differences: (1) no contact details needed, it works through the wallet card; (2) no per-message cost, it's included in a paid plan at a flat rate; (3) messages appear on the lock screen, so visibility is much higher than email (~20% open rate). It doesn't feel like marketing spam; it feels like a message from a favourite shop.
Yes. The Free tier costs $0 forever: unlimited customers, digital loyalty card (the Web Wallet). Every new account starts with premium tools until the first 30 customers are on the card, including Apple & Google Wallet passes, custom branding, and automation. After that, existing wallet passes keep working forever. Choose a paid plan or switch to Free. No credit card required. See pricing details.
The Free tier includes: 1 active stamp card (issue it to unlimited customers), digital loyalty card (the Web Wallet), card colour and stamp count customisation, QR scanning at counter, and basic analytics. Want a second card design? Deactivate the first or upgrade to a paid plan for unlimited stamp cards, Apple & Google Wallet passes, and custom branding.
The paid plans add: unlimited stamp cards, your logo on the card, custom banner image, custom stamp icons, full customer email list with birthdays (not masked), full analytics, Customer Messages, birthday automation, surveys, Google review requests, email + CSV export, team accounts and kiosk mode. Compare plans to see exactly which plan includes what.
Yes. A paid plan is a monthly subscription with no contract. Cancel with one click in your dashboard, no penalties. Your card continues working on the Free tier, and all customer data (stamps, rewards) is preserved.
Pro pricing is adjusted by region: US $39/month, EU €29/month, Poland 129 zł/month, Tier 2 countries $19/month, Tier 3 countries $14/month. Business is $59 / €49 / 219 zł / $39 / $29 in those regions. All prices are net. See full pricing.
Display a QR code at your counter (print it or show on a screen). Customers scan it with their phone camera and get a digital loyalty card instantly. On a paid plan, they tap "Add to Wallet" and the card also appears in their Apple or Google Wallet. You can also share a link via social media, WhatsApp, or your website.
On the Free plan, customers open their card via a saved link or bookmark in their browser (the Web Wallet). On a paid plan, the card also lives in their phone's Wallet app, the same place they keep bank cards, boarding passes, and event tickets (Apple Wallet on iPhone, Google Wallet on Android). Either way, it's always accessible from their phone.
They open the loyalty card on their phone. The card shows how many stamps they've collected and how many they need for the reward. It updates automatically after each visit.
Their stamp data is stored in FaveCard's system, not just on the phone. If they get a new phone and re-add the card (by scanning your QR code again), their stamps are restored.
FaveCard requires a smartphone with a browser (Free plan, the Web Wallet) or Apple/Google Wallet (on a paid plan). For the small number of customers without a smartphone, you could offer a simple paper alternative alongside the digital card. But in practice, the vast majority of customers carry a smartphone.
Yes. Coffee shops are one of our most popular use cases. A typical setup: 8 stamps = 1 free coffee. With Customer Messages, you can send "Double stamps before noon!" to fill quiet mornings. See our coffee shop loyalty guide.
Absolutely. Barbershops typically set 5–6 stamps for a free haircut (matching the 2–4 week visit cycle). Salons may use longer cycles for higher-value services. See our guides for barbershops and salons.
Yes. Restaurants use FaveCard for repeat dining rewards (e.g. 10 meals = 1 free), lunch specials, or even per-dish cards. See our restaurant loyalty guide.
FaveCard works well for nail salons and spas. Common setup: 6 stamps = free manicure or a discount on a premium service. Read our nail salon loyalty programme guide.
Yes. Any business where customers return for repeat purchases or services can use FaveCard: bakeries, juice bars, car washes, pet groomers, fitness studios, tattoo studios, dry cleaners, ice cream shops, and more. If you reward returning customers, FaveCard works for you.
Paper cards get lost or forgotten (nearly 40% of customers abandon paper programmes because they misplace the card), can be forged, and give you zero data. Digital cards live in the customer's phone wallet, can't be lost, update automatically, and give you real-time analytics on visits and rewards. Plus, no printing costs. Full comparison here.
Stamp Me charges from $49/month with no free plan. FaveCard has a Free tier ($0, no time limit) and every new account starts with premium tools until the first 30 customers are on the card, no credit card needed. FaveCard's paid plans use wallet passes and include Customer Messages (Stamp Me charges extra for push notifications). See full comparison.
Square Loyalty starts at $45/month and requires Square's POS system. FaveCard is standalone (no POS needed), starts free, and on a paid plan uses wallet passes instead of requiring an app download. If you already use Square POS, their loyalty add-on integrates directly. If not, FaveCard is simpler and cheaper. More on small business loyalty.
Loyalty apps require customers to download something, and most won't: only 6% of app users are still active after 30 days. FaveCard skips this entirely. On Free, customers get a browser-based card (the Web Wallet). On a paid plan, the card also lives in Apple or Google Wallet alongside their bank cards. Either way: one tap, no download, no login. Wallet passes vs loyalty apps comparison.
Three things: (1) a Free plan ($0, no time limit) that most competitors don't offer; (2) Customer Messages through the wallet card, no phone numbers needed; (3) designed specifically for independent local businesses, not enterprise chains. We keep it simple on purpose.
You display a QR code at your counter (printed or on screen). When a new customer scans it, they get the option to add your loyalty card to their wallet. When a returning customer visits, your staff opens the FaveCard app, scans the pass on the customer's phone, and a stamp is added automatically.
Yes, a basic internet connection is needed to sync stamps. Mobile data (4G/5G) or Wi-Fi both work fine. The scan itself takes about 1 second.
Yes, on a paid plan. Add unlimited employee accounts: each staff member downloads the FaveCard app and logs in, and they can all scan stamps independently. Otherwise the owner scans stamps. See the pricing page for which plan includes team accounts.
Yes. Your loyalty card works across all your locations. Each location's staff uses the same FaveCard app, and customers collect stamps wherever they visit.
Download the QR code from your dashboard and print it (A5 or A6 size works well). Place it on the counter, by the till, or on a table tent. Some businesses also display it on a tablet or screen.
FaveCard collects the customer's name (if they provide it when adding the card), email address (masked on Free, visible on a paid plan), stamp count, and visit dates. We don't collect phone numbers, payment information, or location data.
Yes. FaveCard is fully GDPR compliant. Customer data is processed lawfully, stored securely, and can be deleted on request. We don't sell customer data to third parties. Read our privacy policy for full details.
Yes. Customers can request data deletion at any time. They can also simply remove the card from their wallet. Business owners can delete individual customer records from their dashboard.
Customer data is stored on Google Cloud (Firebase) infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Servers are located in the EU and US. All data handling follows GDPR requirements.
